I have always wanted to join a wine of the month club, as I feel it would allow me to experience new and tasty wines that I would not often have ready access to on my own. The problem I have most is trying to find the right place to get some. There are no local places where I live, and I know ho don't know how I feel about ordering wine online. Still it is on my list of things to do with this year or in the near future. I feel that it would be a great way to meet new people as well.

It was an amazing experience in Robert’s marriage; we all have fun and enjoyed the party. All had gifted for the newlywed couple. I am sure Robert will like my gift most because I had given him a two wine gift baskets. Occasion was marriage and wine would be the perfect gift. I myself decorated the gift basket kept two bottles of branded wine, Wine Horse Vineyards, . To complement these wines the basket was decorated with floral lace and five chocolates with a cute teddy bear on side of the basket with a tag happy married life. At last the whole basket wrapped with a beautiful ribbon.

I have wanted to join a couple of wine clubs for a long time. I have not because there are no physical wine clubs in my area. However, there are online communities I have explored and there are wine of the month type of clubs I have considered. Doing this would expand my knowledge of wine and learn more about wine in general. I love experiencing wine as a beverage and there is still quite a bit about wine I do not know. I would love to be able to suggest wines at a party or to my friends. Joining a wine club sounds like an exciting and diverse experience and I wish to have that experience some day soon!

Over the past weekend I had an incredible Cabernet Franc from the 2004 vintage.  I had been cellaring this bottle for several years, but felt it was time to give this wine a try.  I couldn't have been more pleased.  The tannins were sweet, the wine still had good flavours and balance. Everything that I was looking for.  Glad my patience had been rewarded.  Hard to think the something like 99% of all wine consumed in America is done within 24 – 48 hours of purchasing a wine.  I guess most folks don't believe in delayed gratification.

The problem without delaying some of your wine sipping s that you won't get the opportunity to taste what proper aging can do to a wine.  Some of my best wine experiences are directly related to wines that have sat for a good number of years.

If you don't have the will or patience to cellar some of your wines, you should think about joining wine of the month club that will ship you wines that have already been cellared.

My friends often ask me about fun ways I spend all of my free time.  Yeah I spend a lot of time with my kids.  Yeah I play a lot of low stakes poker.  I'm also a member of one of the most exclusive wine club organizations in the country.  We get together weekly over lunch and each of us brings a new wine.  It starts to get hard to keep track of over time, but one of the guys is a database programmer, so we have a pretty slick website.

Anyway, it's fun!

I recently attended a friend’s wedding and had to going through the painful process of picking out a wedding gift for the bride & groom. Does anyone truly enjoy marching down to the department store, printing out the bridal registry, and then having to figure out what has already been purchased.  Well, I know I don’t enjoy the process at all.

That is why the next time I have to purchase a wedding gift I am simply going to order the blushing bride and her soon to be husband a couple wine baskets.  There are a couple retailers I like that produce some upscale wine baskets that I know will be big hits.

We’re all searching for that perfect gift aren’t we?

Well maybe not if we’re millions, because frankly who cares you can buy whatever you want…..but the rest of us have to take some care and concern with what we buy as far as gifts go.

One of my personal favorites is a wine gift.  I’m pretty good at picking them by simply using some basic knowledge.  Men get red.  Women get white.  If your gift receiver eats pasta, they get an Italian wine.  Etc
